final blog post

I never thought that I would say that I have joined a book club. I still can't believe I have either. Me joining a book club is like me not burning the house down when cooking... I never thought it would happen. Who knows it could be fun...hanging out with friends, maybe reading an actually good book. Well, the first book that we are going to be reading has to be a biography. I don't read a lot of biographies. Actually, the only biographies I can remember are books about Kyle on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Kardashians. The funny thing is that those are two of my favorite books. They were about some of my favorite reality tv show stars so how could I not like them. Right? Well, I am not sure what I want to read this time. I went to Target today and was looking and I found one by another Real Housewife. I think I might really like this one. I liked all of the other ones so I should like this one too. Right? Brandi is a little crazy on the show, but hey if she is crazy on the shows maybe she will add a little crazy to her writing. I hope it is a good choice. Let's hope and see!

I read the first couple page of the book and I absolutely love it. It is nothing shy if hilarious. I love how opinionated she is when she writes. This quote really shows her personality, "Some might even say that they're really "worried about you"- which happens to be one of the most judgmental, condescending phrases ever, in my opinion" (page 2). This is showing how funny and opinionated she is all in one little sentence. You can also really relate to what she is saying. I think this is a great choice and I can not wait to read more of it!

Blog Post

I finished reading Safe Haven and I am trying to find another book. I have looked all around and have started a few books and they haven't been very good at all. A friend of mine just got done reading Divergent and absolutely loved it. I normally don't like books like that. Like The Hunger Games I wasn't a big fan of those books. I generally do like the books she reads so I think I might try and read that. Has anyone read Divergent? Did you like it? Should I read it?

I don't normally branch out and read a lot of new genres of books. I will almost always read fiction romance novels. I had to read a thriller book in best sellers this year. I read The Hunger Games and wasn't the biggest an of it. Everyone loved reading it and it was such a well loved book. I wonder why I didn't like that book as much as everyone else. Do you guys have any book suggestions that are out of your comfort zone but you loved them? I also watched the movie for The Hunger Games and it was defiantly better then the book but I still didn't love it as much as I was supposed to. Do you guys like the books of movies better generally? I think I have always been more into the movies and less into the books. Please let me know what you think I should read next.

I just finished reading the book Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. I thought the book was amazing. You always think something was going to happen and it's completely different then how you imagined it. There are lots of twists and turns to the book. His writers craft was great because he used dialogue, figurative language, and a lot of voice throughout his writing. This was defiantly one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books. I would give this book a five out of five stars and I defiantly recommend you read it.

I have only seen bits and pieces of the movie so I didn't really know what was going on. I can't wait to go home and watch the movie and see which one I like more. I wonder if they will be the same or different. I hope they're the same because I really liked what happen in the book. I wonder how they will capture some of these scenes or if they will be too difficult and just cut them. I highly recommend this book and what are your guys thoughts on the movie or the book?
