Anna and the French Kiss- Reading Skills

Anna and the French Kiss
1. Next in my book I predict that Anna and St. Claire is that they're going to get into fight, and make up at the end. I predict this because they have been getting into little fights and making up. So I feel like their little fights are gonna make a big fight, but they will still make up.
2. Questions I have in my book are... How do they make up so fast after getting in big fights? If they get into a big fight will they still make up? What will be the cause of there next fight?
3. One text to self connection is that Anna is very sheltered and quiet when she first got to school then after a while and she got to know everyone she loosened up. I am also like this because in the beginning of the year I was quiet because I didn't know everyone yet, but now that I have meet everyone and we know each other a lot better I am more loosened up and myself.
4. One text to text connection is with mean girls. In the beginning Anna is very sheltered and quiet when she first got to school then after a while and she got to know everyone she loosened up. Just like Katie is very quiet and doesn't know anyone, but once she meet some friends like Janice she loosened up and became more of herself.
5. One text to world connection is that Anna was sent to boarding school over schools by herself. Many kids are sent to boarding schools all over the world to study new things and a different culture.

Anna and the French Kiss- Tone and Mood

1. The tone of my book is calming and romantic. I know this because Anna and St. Claire are always talking romance and when doing this they are very calm and soothing with their tone. The mood of my story is loving. I know the mood is loving because when I am reading it they make me feel calm and loved and like they are truly in love. An example of this is where it is saying...
a. “Perfect is overrated. Perfect is boring."
I smile. "You don't think I'm perfect?"

"No. You're delightfully screwy, and I wouldn't have you any other way.”

This proves that the tone and mood of my story is calming and romantic because the two of them are talking in a very cute and loving way and expressing there love for each other in soothing and calm ways. 2. An example of when a character swayed the belief of another character is when St. Claire swayed Anna's opinion about how it is okay for her dad to write stories about women having cancer and other bold subjects like that. He used a very calm and convincing tone. This impacted her decision because if he was screaming and just blurting out what he thought she would of blocked him out and gotten upset and did the opposite. His tone made her think about what he was saying and she was able to process it.

Anna and the French Kiss- Theme and Summary

1. The theme of my book, Anna and the French Kiss is...
sometimes something that is hard in the beginning can pay off in the end.
2. Some quotes from my book that support my theme are...
a. “French name, English accent, American school. Anna confused.”
This quote represents my theme because it shows that in the beginning she was really confused when she got to France. She thought that it was going to be a bad experience because she was confused in the beginning so how could it get any better.
b. “The only French word I know is oui, which means “yes,” and only recently did I learn it’s spelled o-u-i and not w-e-e.”
This quote represents my theme because it is also showing how already it was a hard in the beginning and how it was really bad in the beginning because she didn't even know how to speak or spell their language.
c. “You're the most incredible girl I've ever known. You're gorgeous and smart, and you make me laugh like no-one else can. And I can talk to you. And I know after all this I don't deserve you, but what I'm trying to say is that I love you, Anna. Very Much.”
This quote shows that as time goes by the bad experience in the beginning can switch to be one of the best experiences of your life because Anna is falling in love, making new friends, and seeing how the other half lives.
3. Summary: In the beginning of my book Anna was a quiet and shy teenage girl. Her parents were divorced, mom was kind of poor, dad was rich. Anna's parents decided to send her off to France for school all by herself. Anna thought it was going to be the worst experience because she was leaving her friends, family, and much more. When Anna got there she met a boy named St. Claire. St. Claire became one of her best friends and introduced her to all of his friends. Right now in my book St. Claire and Anna are past the friend zone and are dating.

Anna and the French Kiss- quotes

These are some quotes from Anna and the French Kiss that are some of my favorites

Anna and the French Kiss- Characters (redo)

1. The main character in my story is Anna. Anna in the beginning of the book was a very shy and calm relaxed girl. She was one who had crushes, but didn't really date. Anna had a few close friends, but wasn't really popular. At the end of the book Anna was a very outgoing and a very happy and vibrant girl. She was in love and dating the cutest boy named St. Claire. She has lots of friends and really fits in with everyone. This would mean that Anna is a dynamic character because she is a main character that changes over time because of an event, or conflict.
2. Anna interacts with other characters very naturally and casually, except with St. Claire she becomes very in love and it is a bunch of romantic talk.
I smile. "You don't think I'm perfect?""No. You're delightfully screwy, and I wouldn't have you any other way.” Quote 1:
“Perfect is overrated. Perfect is boring."This is showing that when they talk they're talking really sweet to each other and that they are really in love with each other. Quote 2:“French name, English accent, American school. Anna confused.” This is showing that in the beginning Anna was really confused about everything going in to a foreign school by herself.

3. My character Anna propelled the plot because if she wouldn't of been really shy and not that into boys in the start then events like meeting St. Claire and going to school in France. These events changed her because it made her get in fights which changed her personality, falling in love which definitely changed her personality, met new people which also did the same. These all made the story keep going and changed the characters.
