anna and the french kiss article
This is a great article about what happens in the book and what other people think of the book. I think you will really enjoy it. Article.
theme and summary: Anna and the French Kiss
Theme: When bad things happen, good things come.
Quote 1: “Welcome to Paris, Anna. I'm glad you've come.”
This is a quote from the book where St. Claire, Anna's best friend first welcomes her when she comes to Paris for the first time for boarding school by herself. It shows that a bad thing happen where Anna had to leave her family and go to another country for school, but people are already welcoming her.
Quote 2: “Anna: You really think he likes me?
Rashmi: Anna. He teases you all the time. It's classic boy-pulling-girl's-pigtail syndrome. And whenever anyone else even remotely does it, he always takes your side and tells them to shove it.”

This a quote showing that even though Anna had to leave her family a good thing came because she is falling in love with the worlds sweetest guy.
Quote 3: “You're the most incredible girl I've ever known. You're gorgeous and smart, and you make me laugh like no-one else can. And I can talk to you. And I know after all this I don't deserve you, but what I'm trying to say is that I love you, Anna. Very Much.”
This quote is showing the same as the other quotes. This is showing that just because bad things can happen good things like falling in love will soon come.
Summary: So far in my book a girl name Anna who did live in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents sent her to France for school. She had to leave behind her friends, family, school, and everything else. Anna still had someone back at home that she really liked. When Anna got there she met a guy name St. Claire. She started to fall in love with him and him with her. Come to find out that the guy she had like is now dating her bestfriend and they didn't tell her so she got really mad at them. I can't wait to find out what will come up next in my story and how it ends.

The Help- reading skills
In the book The Help I predict that Skeeter will go against the other white people and try to help the black people and help prove that they are not bad people. I predict this because Skeeter talks to the maids in a much kinder to the maids then the others. Also, Skeeter pulled Aibileen aside and asked her if she ever wished things were different so that makes me think that she wants to help them or change things. A few questions I have about the book are...why does Skeeter have interest in helping them and making a difference when she has been brought up in an area where everyone looks down on them? Another question I have is why do they think so poorly of the people caring for them when all they have done is helped them and been loyal to there "owner"? A text to self connection is that I have heard rumors before at dance about what someone did when it wasn't true so I stepped up and proved everyone wrong just like Skeeter is going to help the black people and prove the white people wrong. A text to world connection is that in this book white people are against blacks just like in America the white people used to be against black people. A text to text connection is To Kill A Mocking and this is because in both books they think differently of black people.
